My wife and I recently remodeled our bathroom for a TV show. Unlike most of those shows, this one had no host, no carpenter, no plumber, no professional whatsoever. They showed up with a camera and started rolling. We had five days to tear it down and put it back together…ourselves. Well, we “finished” on day five (as far as the viewer is concerned).

The reality, however, is that we just finished today…a month after the cameras left. Word of advice: If someone offers you the “opportunity” to be on one of these shows, kick him in the shin.
