5 Completely Unrelated Things
February 17th, 2010 - Uncategorized - 8 Comments »1. So, the book release has been delayed a tad. I was hoping to have it ready and for sale by now, but our friends at USPS lost the proof copy. Maybe they’re still mad at me about the big box experiment. Anyway, I’ve ordered another one and naively expect it to be here by Friday. The big release will be sometime in the next two weeks. If you frequent this blog, or any of my friends’ blogs, you won’t miss it.
2. Speaking of my friends’ blogs, word on the street is that the one and only Tripp Crosby is going to start blogging again next week. Don’t worry – on behalf of all of us, I already expressed skepticism, but he assured me it’s really happening.
3. Speaking of next week, Tuesday we’re releasing the much-anticipated sequel to Things You Can’t Do When You’re Not in a Pool. As I mentioned via Twitter, any dignity I am currently clinging to will disappear upon this video’s release. Be sure to tune in.
4. Speaking of videos, I think I’ve decided what my Saturday video segment is going to be (you know, the one I mentioned in my Blog Goals earlier this week…what?…no one read those?). I’m going to conduct an interview series entitled “5 Questions You’ve Never Been Asked”. I’ll either conduct these interviews live with my Flip, or via Call Recorder for Skype. Either way, it should make for a good time. My goal is to eventually interview Will Ferrell. Oh, and if you can think of any good questions (funny or not) that have never been asked, send them my way.
5. Speaking of questions, what Winter Olympic Event do you legitimately think you could medal in tomorrow? There are quite a few to choose from, but I’m going to go with Bobsled. What does the third guy do? I mean, besides the skill of getting in without a hitch, all he does ride. I’ve been practicing the “ride” since I was young, so I think I’d have a shot.
6. OK, so I lied. There are 6 things. Here’s a quick video Tripp and I made to promote Catalyst West in April. If you look closely, you can see two of the world’s largest under-eye bags on my face. Am I not getting enough sleep?

I could medal in the one where you ski through the mountains and shoot things. It's hard to practice for that though. I have been banned from a lot of ski resorts. Apparently it's a BIG deal to show up with your skis and a rifle.
If there were an "i like girls" medal in men's figure skating, I could come home with that gold no questions asked.
Curling-I can mop like nobody's bidness.
Figure Skating- Triple Toe Loop, Double Axle, Double Salchow
I guess I have some work cut out for me in the next 24 hours
Impressive segues.
"all he does is ride"? Have you even seen Cool Runnings?
Curling. I used to play shuffleboard when I was 7 with my grandfather and all his old man buddies down in Sarasota, FL, and I took all their money. When shuffling, you push the little round thingy and see where it (almost randomly) goes. In curling, you push the big round thingy and actually get to follow it down the ice with big brushes and make it stop whenever you want. Way easier.
Same music as Brad Wiggens video?
