5 Completely Unrelated Things

1. Later this week I’m going to post a short reader survey (a census, if you will). Will you fill it out? It will have a few boring questions (where are you from?-esque) and a slew of informative questions (what’s the best album you bought in 2009?-esque). I’m hoping it will give me a better idea of who all of you are, where you’re coming from, and what you think would make this site better.

2. Thanks so much to everyone who wrote book reviews on Amazon. I have no idea how much that helps sway prospective buyers, but at the very least, it helps enhance my self-esteem by about 12 notches. PS – Amazon is selling it for $8.63 right now.

3. You may have noticed a lack of 5 Questions You’ve Never Been Asked the past couple Saturdays. Just wanted you to know that it’s not over – I’m just in a slump. I’ve had two amazing opportunities the past week with some big names and chickened out both times. It will be back though. In the meantime, if you think of any more random, ludicrous questions that have never been asked, please send them my way.

4. Last week I tweeted that I was on my way to the most important lunch meeting of my life. Well, it was. Really exciting things are happening right now. I can’t say much right now, but I’ll be sure to fill you in on details as they progress.

5. One of the guys who redesigned my site told me that his step-brother, Matt King, was just diagnosed with a brain tumor. He doesn’t have insurance, so they’ve created a site to help raise money for him to get surgery. Click here to check out the site, read his story, contribute, and see what other creative things people are doing to raise money.

I find it difficult to believe that you would lick your inner thigh for all the world to see yet NOT ask Donald Miller to answer 5 questions. I am the opposite of you.
