Arbitrary Thoughts

+ I’ve decided to simplify the footer of my posts to make it easier for you. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this or not, but every blogger desperately desires that you, the reader, do four things – leave a comment, share the post, subscribe to the blog, and read some more posts. It’s how we validate our worth as human beings. Hopefully it’s a little easier now.

+ Some other bloggers and I are organizing something really incredible in a couple weeks. I can’t say too much about it yet, but I’m going to want you to be a part of it. It’s the most significant thing that’s ever happened on this blog (which, I know, isn’t saying much).

+ This is one of my favorite videos of all time:

+ A few weeks ago I mentioned how I love to listen to audiobooks when I run. I now hate it. Maybe I overdid it or something. All that to say, I need some new music recommendations – not merely good songs, but songs that are going to make me want to pump a raised fist repeatedly or punch someone in the face. In the comments, tell us your top 4 songs to listen to while you run/exercise. I’ll go first.

  • Tyler Stanton

    1. Empire State of Mind – Jay-Z
    2. Lose Yourself – Eminem
    3. Keep the Car Running – Arcade Fire

Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting – Elton John

I think it’s fairly obvious most of the new stuff I listen to is fairly mellow, so I have to reach back in time for workout music.

lisztomania- phoenix (lots of their songs from their album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix have awesome beats)
    little secrets- passion pit
