Arbitrary Thoughts

+ This week is Catalyst in Atlanta, which means it is one of my favorite weeks of the year. We’re releasing our latest video (which happens to be my favorite project we’ve ever done) on Friday and I “get” to face one of my biggest fears in life. I can’t reveal too much now, but I’ll be sure to fill you in on everything via Twitter (#CAT10) and on the blog asap.

+ Speaking of videos, we’re (hopefully) going to release our T&T Airlines video tomorrow.

+ The guy next to me in Starbucks is drinking coffee and chewing on a cigar…at 9:12 in the morning. Bro, you’ve got to at least wait until 10. Expect a picture in my next Photographs post.

+ If everything goes as planned, we’ll also be debuting our new and vastly improved trippandtyler.com site. Our good friends at Heystac are bending over backwards to make it happen for us.

+ Tripp and I are going to have a few songs for sale on iTunes by the end of the week. Rap songs, nonetheless. I’ll let you know when they’re up.

+ Anyone see Kanye West’s performance on SNL this weekend? It was the best/coolest musical performance I’ve seen on there.

+ Last week I tweeted that my Bryan vs. Tyler NFL Battle performance had reached a comical level of suckiness. I didn’t think it could get any worse, but I was sadly mistaken. It did get worse. Now the only people with a lower score than me are people who have forgotten to make their picks in one or more weeks.

+ I had impossibly high standards for The Social Network, yet somehow it surpassed them. I don’t know about you, but I’m on Team Saverin. Note: It is a small sect of Team Saverin that still gladly uses Facebook.

+ Go Braves.

+ Lots of opportunities this week for some more 5 Questions You’ve Never Been Asked. Any suggestions for who I should interview?

Sorry about how the NFL battle is going. I've been sticking with the "picking against the spread" strategy very strictly and so far so good. This is only my second year in a Fantasy Football pool so maybe still channeling the beginner's luck.

For 5 Questions You've Never Been Asked I think you should interview Anne Jackson (@Flowerdust & author of Permission To Speak Freely) or Rachel Held Evans (@rachelheldevans & author of Evolving in Monkey Town).

As one of the people who have forgotten to make picks in one or more weeks, you're welcome. Even though I'm on Bryan's team, I didn't want you to feel bad…

Next week you should make your picks as usual . . . then switch them all. You'll just have to make sure you're not picking the opposite team you actually wanted to pick so that when you switch them you're just picking who you would've picked in the first place.

    Tyler,
I only saw Kanye's last song performed on SNL but it was fantastic musically and really stunning visually with the stark white background. I'm not a huge fan of his but actually really enjoyed that performance…

Speaking of the Facebook, surely you know Bryan Allain is ahead of the curb in creating his own fan page. When you gonna jump on that train, huh?

Also… for your interview… Pete Wilson would be interesting. Jon Acuff? Ohhhh or the Chick-fil-A owner dude while you're over there in Atlanta. Ask him if he gets hit by the Sunday-only Chick-fil-A cravings. I bet he does and that he sneaks in and makes himself a biscuit after church too. Jerk.
