This is how Dad makes lunch when Mom is at work: Grilled cheese, squash, and popcorn. Dessert? Sugar cubes and gum.

At a recent QuikTrip stop, I asked my friend Kevin to get me a small Mountain Dew. This is what he brought me, thus confirming the theory that good comedy is sometimes worth $4.85.

The occupancy equivalent of a 12 mph speed limit sign.

Setting up your computer by the window so you can keep an eye out for the FedEx truck has the supernatural ability to delay its arrival by 1.5 days. Also, it's kind of sad.

Life-changer.

My 3-year-old's drawing of Tripp, torso to scale.

Suckers.

Naturally, my nose waited until this hole to start bleeding.

Apparently, "push" just lost top its top ranking to an unranked opponent.

Why was there no “Taco” option? Can’t have a poll without tacos!

I like the thumbnails! And I think the photograph posts are brilliant.

In Chrome, they open up enlarged in the same tab, and there is no caption.
But if you hover over the thumbnail, the caption comes up.
    I hate it.

May the nearness of the Christ child be upon you and your family this holiday season

it doesn't show captions unless you hoover….huver…. hover?

  • Tyler S.

I use Chrome too and wanted to confirm that you cannot see the captions unless you hover over the pics, and that's annoying.

I wanted to make my first post to your site a complaint, and you've provided me the opportunity! Thanks Tyler!

      A comment is a comment…I'll take it!

Sadek?! Just realized this is you. Man, how's it going? I figure the comments section of my blog is the perfect place to catch up.

I use Safari and it also only shows captions if you hover. If you click on the image, it opens up in the same tab.

So much for trying new things.

It looks great in Internet Explorer!

I'm worried that barrel of Mtn Dew is gonna snap your hand off at the wrist. You need to use a spotter and proper technique with lifting that thing.

I use Chrome, but I receive the blog in my RSS. Once I opened the actual blog page instead of just reading the RSS feed, the photos opened in all their intended glory. I particularly liked the Dad lunch. My husband Mr. Mom'd alot when our kids were little. It was always exciting at lunchtime.

Tell me about the Roku. Why are you big on it? I have been looking at the Roku, Apple TV and Boxee Box.

    • Tyler Stanton

i'm working on a post about the whole thing, but in short:i bought apple tv and… (dramatic pause)…returned it. it was the first apple product i've ever returned.it's just very limited (no nbc, no internet streaming, no pandora).go to roku.com and watch their video. a $7.99 netflix subscription and $7.99 hulu plus subscription will give you everything you could ever want…except live espn.i'll write a bunch more about it soon………………..tyler stanton

You can still get live ESPN via ESPN 360. I don't have cable either and have used it to watch college b-ball on Tuesday nights. Not sure about MNF games… will try out Roku, but looking at the Hulu feeds I have to catch up on after a week off, I realize that I don't have time to keep up with all of them.

that lunch is pretty impressive actually. my husband would've stopped at grilled cheese or McDonald's.

I use chrome at work, but occasionally switch over to Internet Explorer sometime by accident. Sometimes I will exit out and go back to Chrome, but occasionally I'll stick with Internet Explorer, unless of course something messes up, then I think to myself, "Why continue down this path, I should've just exited and gone to Chrome." So I'll exit out of Internet Explorer and click on Chrome. At home I use Safari, which is not the same as Chrome. On my iPhone, I use the Safari button, which is located on the screen.

Also, I hope your trophy breaks when your cop buddy is over at your house, and turns out there is heroine in it and he's honest so you go to jail for at least one night, and while you're there, you think about how you wish I was a better runner than you and that you make friends with the gross looking prisoners.

    • Tyler Stanton

My trophy will never break. Nike used the strongest pixels imaginable when crafting it. Maybe one day you'll get to experience one.

naturally it would be on the second hole………..it always starts on the best hole

I'm stealing #2. As far as #3, the condo we stayed at near Disney last week had a speed limit of 23 mph. I decided to be dangerous and drive 45.
