Arbitrary Thoughts
January 27th, 2011 - Arbitrary Thoughts, Uncategorized - 9 Comments »+ I’m still sick. Like, the haven’t-gotten-out-of-bed-in-3-days kind of sick. And yes, I’m keeping a running list of my “productivity” again.
+ Went to Dream Year Weekend in Nashville last weekend. Of all the great things I could say about it, I just want to mention one: Ben Arment is the real deal. I’ve worked with him before during my first year with Catalyst, but I finally got to see him in his sweet spot. If there’s something you are dreaming of doing, spending time with Ben is one of the best investments you can make. (Click here to read Bryan Allain’s 7 Reasons to go)
+ Currently reading The 100 Thing Challenge (between excessive doses of Grey’s Anatomy). Not sure it merits an entire book, but intriguing nonetheless.
+ Incredible news: Ricky Gervais will be on The Office tonight. Incredibler news: Will Ferrell will be on four episodes of The Office in the near future.
+ I’m going to see my comedy mentor Jeff Foxworthy Saturday night at Philips Arena.
+ I’ve broken ground on a new book. 75% of the content will be brand new, un-posted material, so it might have some affect on my blog for a while. I’m still going to to post 3-4 times a week, but it might just look a little different than what we’re all used to. It will be worth it in the end.
+ After all of the voting, here’s the bio I’m going with for the Catalyst West program:
Tyler Stanton is just like John Stamos in virtually every way. His comedic style consists of making side-comments to everyday events, which has never been done before ever. His book, Everyday Absurdities: Insights from the World’s Most Trivial Man, has earned him dozens of dollars and has been stabilizing wobbly coffee tables since its 2010 release. Tyler and his family reside in the suburbs of Atlanta where they enjoy paintball, decorative paper mache, reenacting classic presidential debates, Parkour, and frequent trips to Quiznos. If all goes according to plan, he will never own a dog.
+ Guest posting month starts on Tuesday. I’ll be posting here the entire time to tell those of you who care where you can find me.
