“What do you do when you see a spaceman? You park your car in it, man.” It’s my go-to joke. I’d like to see how well he pulls off a courtesy laugh. I bet he’s the best.

When I was picking up pieces of popcorn off the carpeted floor & rearranging 100 chairs back to their appropriate position by myself after a Wyldlife movie event, did you intentionally ignore my phone calls, knowing that I would ask you to come help me?
No comment. But yes.

Knowing what and who you know now…..If you were about to graduate High School, interested in photo & videography, would you intern somewhere first or follow the traditional college path or both?
Wow. I don’t think I’m qualified to answer this. I would probably do both. But again, that’s just me.

What’s the one story you wouldn’t want Tripp to tell us about you?
There’s not really a story, but there are hours and hours of horrible/embarrassing outtake footage on his hard drives that could ruin me.

If you could choose one major movie role to be cast in (from the last 5 years) which role would it have been?
Jason Sudekis’ role in Horrible Bosses. I loved that movie and would want to act alongside Jason Bateman and Charlie Day. There’s probably a better one I’m just not thinking of.

If you were a hotdog, would you eat yourself?
I like to think Hot Dog Me would have the same eating habits as I currently do, so yes.

On a scale of 1-10, with 6 being the highest, what rating would you give to your ability to complete P90X with me?
0. However, no one can complete P60X like us.

How in the world do you make a living doing what you are doing? Seriously…do you get paid to write or do comedy sketches etc. What are your revenue streams from largest to smallest??
Yeah, I get paid to write, act, and emcee. Right now it’s a pretty even split – my income is pulling from all three of those pretty evenly. I also pull in some from book sales and blog advertising, but those streams are much smaller.

Are you in that Miller Lite “sunglasses” commercial?
I wish.

What is one thing you wish you could tell youth pastors? Enlighten me.
In Young Life we had a saying “it’s a sin to bore a kid with the Gospel”. Don’t make the greatest story of all time into something boring and academic.

Why didn’t you ever do the office etiquette followup to the High Five Etiquette video?
The How-to-Brag-About-Your-Accomplishments one? Great question. We’ll get on that.

What are some of your best and worst childhood memories? Remember, this is your mom asking, not a therapist!

Also, when can we expect more (consistent) videos from you and Tripp?
Yeah, sorry about that. We honestly just haven’t made it a priority to get stuff posted. We have the content, but we just get busy with other stuff. I imagine after Catalyst we’ll be able to focus on that and get more videos out there.

What is the name of the best intramural flag football team you ever played on?
LOUSES!

What is a film, TV show, or book that changed your life (or one of each if you’re feeling lucky)?
The Office (UK) turned me on to a whole new style of comedy. Same with Best in Show. Books? Blue Like Jazz, Velvet Elvis, Total Money Makeover, A New Kind of Christian, Free Range Chickens, and War of Art.

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?
Coldplay or James Taylor with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Hmm..great question. I have no idea. Sounds like someone needs to make a bucket list.

Texting and driving.

How did you and Tripp meet – eHarmony or match.com?
Haha. We actually went to high school together. Tripp was two grades ahead of me, and ended up being my camp counselor one summer.

How did you meet your wife? Does she think you’re funny? Do your kids?
Youth group in high school. We dated four times over the course of seven years (breakup score: Amy 2, Tyler 1) and then got married. I think she thinks I’m funny. I know my kids do (it’s mandatory).
