Arbitrary Thoughts
June 9th, 2011 - Arbitrary Thoughts - 41 Comments »+ I watched an awesome YouTube Q&A session with The Lonely Island last night. It’s the perfect way for you to spend those extra 43 minutes you have to spare this morning.
+ Two months ago I made the statement that I’d never run a marathon in my life. Well, things have changed. Tripp and I are officially running the Atlanta Marathon in October. Come join us.
+ Speaking of the marathon, we’re launching a new site about running in the next couple weeks. It’s for people who love running, just not while they’re doing it. We want to be a community/movement of people who suck at running, are miserable while doing it, but do it anyway – kind of the antithesis of the polished, beautiful and happy runners in Runner’s World magazine. Should be fun. We’ll be sure to let you know when it launches.
+ Anyone else watch the entire two-hour WWDC keynote? Incredible.
+ Bryan Allain interviewed me yesterday for his BlogRocket community. Really hoping he edits out the 19,000 “um”s that I managed to squeeze into an hour. If you’re not a part of the community, you should really try it out for a few months. And for the price of something that costs $10 (or two things that cost $5 each), it’s totally worth it.
+ I realized this week that I loathe the phrase “super pumped”, as in “I’m super pumped to be here.” Am I alone in this?
+ Still accepting ideas for Tripp’s Twitter hack. Keep ‘em coming.
+ Today’s giveaway question is for those of you with blogs. I’ll pick a winner at random to receive a copy of one of my favorite books (and a perfect book for bloggers), War of Art by Steven Pressfield.
